If I were a pen
I would keep writing
until there wasn't any point

If I were a map
I would understand the purpose
of choosing a direction

If I were a flag
I would wave solid white
completely unafrayed

I am merely human
I can only imagine

If I were the sky
I would shed many tears
for those who refuse to cry

If I were a light
I would dance in the North
and place mystery in my sky

If I were a storm
I would spin out to sea
where my wrath
 would do no harm

I am merely human
I can only imagine

.
